Abstract
On August 16, 2011, the HY-2 satellite was successfully launched by a CZ-4B rocket from the Taiyuan site in Shanxi, China. HY-2 satellite, which is an ocean dynamic environmental satellite on-orbit operation in the world, has four payloads of microwave sensing. It can synchronous measure the ocean dynamic environmental information, such as wind field, significant wave height, sea surface height and sea surface temperature.
