Closed-form statistics for sum of two correlated squared Nakagami-q (Hoyt) random variables with applications

New analytical results are presented for the fundamental statistics of the sum of two correlated squared Nakagami-q (Hoyt) random variables. In particular, such results find applicability in the performance analysis of dual-branch maximal-ratio combining under channel spatial correlation.
