Abstract :
Densely arrayed (pitch <10 μm) semiconductor lasers with individually controlled lasing wavelengths (called microarray semiconductor lasers) were developed as fundamental wavelength-selectable light sources. Eight different lasing wavelengths, each >80 nm, were obtained using a chip with a laser section that is only 70 μm wide and 400 μm long
