Abstract
The bit error rate (BER) performance of single code and multicode channelization schemes for high rate data transmission in direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems is compared. The multipath interference (MPI) effects, which become significant as the data rate increases, are accurately included in the analysis. It is shown that notable performance improvement can be achieved by using multicode scheme in the multipath fading channel.
