Abstract
Test and analytical procedures are described for the determination of synchronous-machine phase¿co-ordinate parameters. The methods proposed are based on least-squares theory applied to the voltage and current waveforms and the Fourier analyses of these waveforms arising from open circuit and steady-state 3-phase short-circuit and single-phase-to-earth tests. The computed machine performance using the estimated parameters matches that obtained from the tests.
