Abstract :
As the sophistication of control and monitor functions on modern underground trains increases, so the limitations of the conventional `point-to-point¿ wiring technique become more apparent. To overcome this problem a time-division multiplexing system has been developed for possible incorporation on future London Transport trains. This paper outlines the philosophy and development behind the system.
