Abstract :
A short description is given of two H-frame structural analysis and design programs, TLOP and HFRAME-84, and the inadequacy of the programs when a large number of runs is required is pointed out. A procedure to circumvent this problem is described. It involves the use of commercial software packages originally written for mainframe computers. The use of the PC for transmission environmental calculations is also discussed.<>
