Abstract :
The adverse weather conditions over Christmas grounded hundreds of flights and caused would-be passengers (including this writer) a degree of suffering. Stuck in the airport lounge with a dog-eared paperback I??d already read, the only thing left for me to do was reflect on some glorious - and not so glorious - flights of the past.
