Abstract :
A specific medical application, namely repair of a narrow aorta in children, served by Neuronet, a large software package integrated with 80 computer workstations and instrumentation, is considered to demonstrate the offline and real-time capabilities of the package. An overview of the system is given, and a case example is presented. The system´s remote capabilities, signal processing, user interface, and database are discussed. Reliability and upgradeability are considered.<>
