Abstract :
A hybrid method of magnetic field calculation in slotless/slotted permanent magnet machines is proposed. Depending on the chosen calculation model, the method combines 2D/3D analytical solutions in the airgap with Grinberg´s/boundary element or finite element methods for other regions of the motor. The fast convergence between different types of solutions is achieved by using the Schwartz technique for overlapping sub-regions
