Abstract :
A simple model for ionospheric electron concentration, based on continuous multiparabolic regions, is proposed. Analytic solutions for the virtual height of reflection at vertical incidence, in the absence of a magnetic field, are discussed. Extension to estimating ground range and ray-apogee heights at oblique site location (SSL) HF direction finding (DF) systems
