  • Abstract
    In this paper, a mathematical homogenization technique is applied to the analysis of soft magnetic composites where ferromagnetic particles are dispersed within an insulating medium. The effective magnetic properties are evaluated for different inclusion shapes, assuming isotropic nonlinear/hysteretic characteristics for the ferromagnetic inclusions. The results show the effect of shape anisotropies, due to the material microstructure, on the overall behavior of the composite.
