Abstract :
The use of educational software in teaching and learning Science, Mathematics and English are encouraged among teachers. The Ministry of Education (MOE) has provided teachers with a variety of software to achieve the objectives and goals of teaching and learning Science, Mathematics and English and also helped students to master Mathematics and Science concepts easily. The purpose of this study was to find out the impacts of educational software on student´s achievement based on the cognitive style of Field Independent/Field Dependent (FI/FD). This study showed that, Field Independent students´ performance is better than Field Dependent students in Mathematics, Science and English subjects after using educational software. Based on the achievement framework, Field Independent students got benefit from environment learning using educational software compare to Field Dependent students. This study also showed positive implications on the use of educational software in teaching and learning, particularly among students of different cognitive styles.
