Abstract
Product development at the Stanley Works is now much more centralized than it was previously. Engineers are focusing on fundamental design problems, and their goal is to totally reinvent the basic tools rather than just make incremental improvements on existing designs. Not surprisingly, ergonomics is playing a major role in the development of new hand tools
