Abstract
The linear predictive coding (LPC) is one of the most important parts of low bit rate speech compression algorithms. The synthetic speech quality is mostly influenced by the performance of LPC. This paper presents a study of several algorithms for the calculation of LPC coefficients. Estimation precision, computational efficiency and stability of the algorithms have been studied and compared. The comparison results are given and a reference for algorithm selection is provided.
