Abstract
Two new receiver structures have been analysed. These receivers are insensitive to local oscillator (LO) excess noise, phase and polarisation of the received signal. The degradations in the performance have been obtained when 90° and 180° optical hybrids are nonideal and detectors are nonidentical. Both ASK and DPSK signalling schemes have been considered
