Abstract
Methods for providing redundancy for transistorised amplifiers to improve their reliability are discussed. Test results obtained on typical amplifier used in wide band communication equipments are also included. The results achieved confirm that it is possible to achieve an output level stability of better than 0.1 db over wide band widths even on failure of one of the amplifiers.
