  • Abstract
    In the last two decades, wireless communications has become a vast field of application and research consisting of subdomains, such as cellular networks, satellite networks, wireless mesh networks, cognitive radio networks, and wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. The common theme for all these networks is the shared wireless medium; however, they differ on a host of other aspects, such as coding techniques, antenna design, and protocols.
