Abstract :
Approximate expressions for the radiation field and the gain of the dielectric hemisphere on cone antenna excited in the un-symmetric hybrid mode have been derived. The radiation pattern and gain of a number of antennas of different dimensions have been calculated and measured aver a band of frequencies from 8.5 GHz to 11.0 GHz. rhe input impedance of these antennas measured over Ihis range of frequencies is also reported.
