Abstract :
The British Institution of Radio Engineers was founded in 1925 in order to promote the general advancement of and to facilitate the exchange of opinion and ideas on radio science. These reports are issued as a contribution and stimulus to industrial prosperity, not only in immediate planning for the war-to-peace period, but also in the continued development of electronics. This part of the report is confined to expressing views on the development of radio engineering. The personnel required and their necessary education and training is dependent on the growth of the industry and is the subject of Part 2 of the report.
