Abstract :
The rotating magnetic refrigerator with side-opening Halbach hollow cylindrical permanent magnet array (??C?? type) has the two problems: Its circular ring is not enclosed in the magnet and the one-side magnetic pull on the circular ring is caused by the permanent magnet field. In order to solve these problems, we put forward a new configuration of the permanent magnet system for rotating magnetic refrigerator. The stator of this system includes Halbach hollow cylindrical permanent magnet and two magnet pole boots. The rotor includes shaft, iron core and magnetic refrigerant materials. Because the rotor structure of the proposed permanent magnet system is completely symmetrical, and the stator and rotor are concentric, the radial magnetic pull at the rotor generated by permanent magnet field is completely off-set and there is no one-side magnetic pull at the rotor.
