  • Abstract
    We propose to establish the relation between the topological order in condensed matter systems and the novel optical properties in metamaterials, by mapping explicitly Maxwell´s equations to the Dirac equation in one dimension (1D). Band inversion and end states, as two typical topological phenomena in the Dirac equation, have been observed in microwave experiments.
