Abstract :
A unimodular shaping filter for noisy input is designed. It is stable, and shapes the wavelet into (a) the desired output with least squares error and (b) the actual output with a unit area. Stability was achieved by using the prewhitening parameter. A numerical example shows that the prewhitening parameter reduces the error energy in the unimodular constrained shaping filter as compared to the unconstrained shaping filter
