The variation with frequency of the signal range of F.M. and television broadcasting stations

It is the purpose of this report to determine the effect of the carrier frequency on the expected maximum signal ranges of F.M. and television broadcasting stations as affected by the transmitting and receiving antenna gains and as limited by internal receiver noise and the ever-present effects of cosmic noise received on the very high frequencies from inter-stellar space. The signal ranges shown on the attached charts are thus applicable only in the absence of local thunderstorms or man-made noise.
