Abstract
After introductory remarks on air transport objectives and the contribution of electronics to their attainment, the following applications of electronics are reviewed: Communications, Aids to Navigation and Aids to Approach and Landing. Particular reference is made to the relation of these functions to standards of safety. The paper is written in general terms and does not deal with the detail of technique or function.
