Abstract :
The author has asked a small group of electrical engineers to list their choices of the ten equations that have had the most profound effect on civilization. He presents a summary of the results, compiled subjectively and listed in approximately chronological order. They are: Newton´s law of force, universal gravitation law, thermodynamics second law, Maxwell´s equations, Navier-Stokes equation, Stefan-Boltzmann law, relativity, Lorentz transformation, Schrodinger equation, and Shannon´s sampling theorem
