In the second part of our two-part special feature, the author takes an in-depth look at the modern electronics that were called upon to bring Tornado, the world´s newest steam locomotive, up to 21st century standards. The challenge was finding room for everything. Although it appears to be a large engine there´s an awful lot on it and there was competition for space around the cab.
