Abstract
After a general review of the principles of diversity reception, the special case of a V.H.F. diversity scheme using spaced receivers suitable for a mobile radio system is discussed. The various methods which could be used are outlined, and the method actually used described in more detail. A design of a mixing unit is given, based on the subjective listening performance necessary for a multi-station V.H.F. area coverage scheme.
