  • Abstract
An Invar shadow mask was developed for color television tubes. Crystal faces on the rolled material surface are concentrically (100), from which high-quality flat masks are obtained by etching with FeCl3 solution with a high concentration. Warm forming of the material, at a temperature above 343 K, provides a mask free from springback. Oxidation of the material is possible by heating to a temperature of 873 K
