Abstract :
This paper presents an accurate fault location algorithm for a double-circuit transmission line with series capacitor compensation at its both ends. Use of one-end measurements: three-phase voltage and three-phase currents from both line circuits has been considered. The algorithm is formulated in phase co-ordinates. The developed algorithm has been tested and evaluated using signals taken from ATP-EMTP versatile simulations of faults. The presented sample results of the testing show the validity of the algorithm and its good accuracy.
