Automatic methods in radio component manufacture

Part 1 describes a method of controlling a high-speed coil winder by an electronic counter. A specialized machine which winds single-layer coils is described. Part 2. deals with the development of a tool protection device for use with automatically loaded presses. The device detects the piece-part magnetically as it is ejected and so clears the interlocks to allow the press to continue operating.
