Abstract :
The connection of significant amounts of wind-power generation at a point on the power system (distribution and subtransmission circuits) never designed for the interconnection of generation presents significant technical problems for both the utility and wind-generator consulting engineers. This article highlights these technical problems, many of which have no standard solutions but only choices with undesirable drawbacks.
