This month\´s front cover shows the typical anatomy of a bird\´s leg, adapted from "The Manual of Ornithology" shown alongside the robotic simplification. This month\´s back cover: because age-related changes of the operational characteristics of the C-17 radomes were experienced earlier than expected a system covering additional testings and repair capabilities was developed for repair validation. The positioner model developed for use during the tests with the tail radome (outline) attached is shown in the upper illustration, while a tail radome on the positioner (inverted from the model) is shown in the lower illustration.
