Abstract :
A phase-locked loop controls a voltage-fed MOSFET inverter to operate just above the resonant frequency of a series-tuned induction heating load. The switching frequency is determined from the zero-crossings of the load voltage and the tuning capacitor voltage. The effect of harmonics and frequency-dependent load resistance is analysed
