Abstract :
Describes the construction and characteristics of: (1) a continuous response mercury switch giving an output dependent on angle of tilt, and used as a precision vertical reference in control systems; current rating is 30 mA ; (2) a miniature continuous film potentiometer for use in displacement transducers; it has a low sweep-noise value of 0.01 mV/V and high linearity of the order of 0.1%.
