Abstract :
Capacitive coupling to a microstrip patch antenna from adapted OSM or N-type connectors mounted on the ground plane affords a way of exciting the patch without requiring a probe through the substrate. The benefits and limitations of this method when applied to substrates of various thickness and relative permittivities are discussed, and measured results are presented
