Abstract
Nuclear explosions in space may be detected by the emission of electromagnetic and particle radiation. Detection instruments may be carried in satellites. The capabilities of the various techniques are reviewed. Seismic methods for the detection of underground explosions are discussed. Signal/noise ratio problems predominate and a seismometer array is described which provides discrimination against waves from different sources.
