Abstract :
Code-division multiple access (CDMA) has been proven to be one of the promising mainstream multiaccessing techniques in future cellular mobile communication systems. A quality-based birth-and-death queueing model is developed for the purpose of evaluating the performance of a CDMA cellular that supports two-rate transmissions. Performance measures obtained include channel utilization and call blocking probability. Based on these results, three call admission schemes are compared
