Abstract
The problems of switching the amplifier between systems of different frequency, bandwidth and type of modulation are examined and it is shown that the characteristics of the amplifier must be altered, particularly when switching from a.m. to f.m. sound. Precautions are taken to avoid interference due to feedback. Circuit arrangements are given and detector designs for reception of f.m. sound are described.
