Abstract :
The articles in this collection all deal in one way or another with the scalability of parallel architectures, a topic still as important as it was 10 years ago. Plus, as a bonus for me, two machines I´ve worked on are discussed — the RP3 and the SP2 (quite an odyssey!). So I have several reasons to be happy to write this guest editorial.
