Abstract
The efficient design of a linear-phase, FIR structure yielding optimal amplitude response approximating |1/ω| for the midband frequency range has been proposed. Mathematical formulas for computation of weights have been derived. These weights turn out to be universal. Using this property, a versatile structure performing optimally for various orders has been proposed
