Abstract :
In a plasma display panel, the displayed luminance is affected by the vertical load distribution when the X electrodes of all scan lines are connected to the X driver through a common X electrode. In this brief, the effect of the vertical distance between the target cell and the load on the luminance variation is formulated as a load weight. The effect of the load distribution of a complete panel is then formulated as the effective total load, which enables an accurate prediction of the variation in the luminance as affected by the vertical load distribution. The mean absolute error is improved by 75.43% by the proposed method compared with an earlier previous method that does not take the vertical load distribution into consideration.
