Abstract :
Various possibilities for implementing receivers for DBS C-MAC signals are described, in particular for low carrier-to-noise ratio operation and improved interference rejection. Consideration is given to the choice of the second intermediate frequency and to both conventional and threshold extension phase-locked-loop demodulation for the vision signal. Differential demodulation of the 2¿4PSK sound/data signal is considered, including the effects of i.f. and delay line time errors.
