Abstract
Cerebral Aneurysm (CA) is a pathological distension of cerebral arteries. Ruptured CA is devastating and causes subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) which may even lead to death. This paper proposes one simple but efficient methodology to detect CA from medical images. It comprises of thresholding and morphological filtering in an elegant way. Proposed method has been corroborated on various digital subtraction angiography (DSA) images and results in an accuracy of about 99% for different sizes of cerebral aneurysm.
