Abstract :
The authors propose an all point transmit and receive focusing algorithm which combines transmit synthetic focusing and receive dynamic focusing in conventional B-mode imaging systems. Transmit focusing is synthesised using the RF data of each scanline, together with all other relevant scanline data previously stored. Computer simulation shows that the proposed method has better lateral resolution and higher SNR than conventional focusing methods at all imaging depth points
