Abstract :
An integrated multichannel optical wavelength monitoring circuit for wavelength division multiplexing communication systems is presented. Full wavelength coverage of the working range without any blind spot is realised by a centre-offset phased-array waveguide grating design. The monitor exhibits a wavelength resolution of 0.02 nm/dB (200 GHz channel spacing)
