Abstract :
Describes an application oriented set-up for determining current references for a microstepping step motor controller. This eliminates the need for calculating these references from motor characteristics. Motor nonlinearities and asymmetries are taken into consideration and references for controllers can be obtained by an unattended test for any microstep size desired
