Abstract :
Compact circularly polarized microstrip antennas realized by using single feed configuration. Simple probe fed square patch antenna and one slot loaded probe fed square patch antennas designed and compared the results of these antennas. Different shaped slots embedded symmetrically on the first quadrant of a square patch for circular polarization and reducing the antenna size. The circular polarization can be obtained by exiting two orthogonal components with phase shift 90□. It achieved by adding a slot area in the center of the first quadrant of square patch. We compare and analyze the results of different shaped slots such as Square, Circular ring, cross slot and circular slot. A slotted microstrip antenna designed for CP radiation by using single feed configuration. It can be also used for radio frequency identification (RFID). 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth achieved with up to 30 MHz impedance bandwidth. Compact antenna size achieved at 900 MHz. IE3D simulator used for simulation purpose.
