Abstract :
The increasing development and application of radio and electronic technology demands considerable research effort. New knowledge is essential for commercial enterprise and for defence purposes, but its cost so far has tended to limit endeavour. This Report emphasizes the urgency for extending and co-ordinating immediately the radio and electronics research programme in Great Britain and proposes a scheme which may be administratively and financially acceptable to Government and Industry.
