F.M. noise in reflex klystrons
Abstract :
From a theory of phenomenological models for a microwave oscillator perturbed by noise developed by Middleton2, a strictly theoretical value of the coupling coefficient Do for f.m. noise has been obtained. The f.m. noise power spectrum for a typical reflex klystron has then been determined and the slope of the spectrum found to agree quite well with the value obtained from noise measurements.
